Latest system integration partnership to offer a cloud-based solution for worldwide leader in financial printing.

Aix-en-Provence, France, May 23 2013- Componize Software and Flatirons Solutions launch their partnership with an initial joint project for a worldwide leader in financial printing. The project relies on Componize for Alfresco, a leading DITA CMS, providing a robust cloud-based content management solution for financial services organizations. The solution allows customers to create, manage and distribute time-sensitive financial materials and handle stock exchange filings in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Flatirons Solutions was responsible for the project’s overall system integration, bringing together a native Javascript XML editor, the Alfresco ECM, Componize and SDL XPP for high fidelity PDF and EDGAR composition. EDGAR, the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system, performs automated collection, validation, indexing, acceptance, and forwarding of submissions by companies and others who are required by law to file forms with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

« Componize (…) is light weight, extremely affordable, very robust and easy to deploy »

Componize was selected for this high-level project due to its ability to provide outstanding component based content management capabilities, including robust link management, highly scalable composition pipelines, effective metadata management and XML version differencing.

I’m very proud to have Flatirons as a partner. They have a great deal of experience implementing XML solutions in a variety of industries: publishing, manufacturing, financial services, insurance, aerospace, health and government” says Jean-Luc Borie, Componize CEO. “They will be able to provide quality support to our enterprise clients in the US, and this partnership will certainly contribute to our growth in North America.

We have been greatly impressed with both the Componize product offering and the Componize team” said George Florentine, VP of Engineering at Flatirons Solutions. “Their product solves a number of very complicated problems we frequently encounter in the development of complex, XML based authoring and composition systems. Their product is light weight, extremely affordable, very robust and easy to deploy. In addition, their development team’s velocity is extremely high– they are constantly bringing new features into their product set which really increases the value that we can provide to our end customers.

Both companies already work closely with Alfresco Enterprise Content Management. Componize can be seamlessly integrated with Alfresco’s global ECM system, and Flatirons Solutions is a longstanding Alfresco solution partner.

Flatirons Solutions and Componize officialized their partnership in end of 2012. Both partners were present together for the first time at the DITA NA Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, from April 15-17.

More information on this exciting new collaboration will be distributed shortly in a detailed case study.
